Ground Up Services is committed to protecting the privacy of Oregon residents. This page describes your rights under the Oregon Consumer Privacy Act (OCPA), which became effective July 1, 2024, and how you can exercise those rights.

Who This Applies To

This notice applies to Oregon residents who interact with our website at groundupservices.net or use our lawn care, landscaping, and landscape construction services.

Personal Data We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal data through our website and service interactions:

Contact and identification information including your name, email address, phone number, and service address. Internet activity information including IP address and website usage data collected through Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager. Communications including messages submitted through our contact and quote request forms.

We do not collect sensitive personal data as defined under the OCPA including Social Security numbers, financial account information, health data, or precise geolocation data.

We use your personal data for the following purposes:

To respond to your service inquiries and quote requests. To schedule and deliver lawn care, landscaping, and landscape construction services. How We Share Your Personal Data

We do not sell your personal data. We share your personal data only with service providers who help us operate our website and deliver our services including Google (analytics and tag management) and our contact form platform. These providers are contractually required to protect your data and use it only for the purposes we specify.

Right to Know — You have the right to confirm whether we are processing your personal data and to access the personal data we hold about you.

Right to Correct — You have the right to request correction of inaccurate personal data we maintain about you.

Right to Data Portability — You have the right to obtain a copy of your personal data in a portable and usable format where technically feasible.

Right to Non-Discrimination — We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights. You will receive the same quality of service regardless of whether you exercise your rights.

Right to Appeal — If we decline to act on your privacy request you have the right to appeal our decision. Instructions for submitting an appeal will be provided in our response to your original request.

How to Submit a Privacy Request

Please include your full name, email address, and a description of your request so we can process it efficiently. We will respond to your request within 45 days. If we need additional time we will notify you within the initial 45-day period and may take up to 90 days total to respond.

Verification of Identity

To protect your personal data we may need to verify your identity before processing your request. We will ask you to provide information that matches what we have on file. We will not use this information for any purpose other than verifying your identity and processing your request.

Authorized Agent

You may designate an authorized agent to submit a privacy request on your behalf. We may require written proof of authorization and may verify your identity directly before processing the request.

Sensitive Personal Data

Ground Up Services does not collect or process sensitive personal data as defined under the OCPA. If this changes we will update this notice and obtain your explicit consent before processing any sensitive personal data.

Data Retention

We retain your personal data only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this notice or as required by applicable law. Contact and service information is retained for the duration of our business relationship and for a reasonable period thereafter. Analytics data is retained for up to 26 months.
